Coursework structure: Molecular Microbiology, Microbial Ecology and Immunobiology (MMEI)
The workload for this Master degree program is 120 ECTS credits. This corresponds to the planned study duration of four semesters. The program includes:
- Compulsory module Introduction: 30 ECTS
- One of the 3 alternative compulsory module groups (focal areas): Molecular Microbiology, Microbial Ecology and Immunobiology: 30 ECTS
- Compulsory module interdisciplinary subjects (a choice of courses from focal areas in Master study programs Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Molecular Plant Sciences, Chemistry, Bioinformatics and Biological Chemistry): up to 15 ECTS
- Additional Scientific Qualifications (includes not yet completed courses from other focal areas as well as other modules or individual courses from Master study programs Genetics, Molecular Biology, Molecular Plant Sciences, Chemistry, Bioinformatics and Biological Chemistry OR relevant soft skills, such as working in teams, academic English, presentation techniques, scientific writing, data management, processing and analysis, scientific project management, popularization of science, legal and ethical competencies, etc): 15 ECTS
- Master project and Defense: 30 ECTS
